The Uttarakhand government has named Prasoon Joshi, CEO and CCO of McCann World Group India, the state’s brand ambassador. Prasoon Joshi, a Padma Shri recipient, is now Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (Censor Board). He is a well-known and multiple honored member of the Indian media and advertising community.
The announcement was made by Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who stated that their government has formally designated ‘Padma Shri’ Shri Prasoon Joshi, the renowned poet and lyricist who is the current Chairman of the Board of Film Certification, as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand.

The state government has given the director general of culture permission to engage in a Memorandum of Understanding with Prasoon Joshi, originally from Uttarakhand. Joshi is well-known for his contributions to advertising, film, songs, and poetry.
His socially conscious initiatives, such as the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Clean India), the Ministry of Tourism’s Women Empowerment Program, and the Malnutrition Polio Eradication Program, have all received recognition and established strong bonds with consumers. Additionally, he played a significant role in the design of the 2014 National Election campaign. One of the “Top 20 Campaigns of the 21st Century” was Joshi’s HappyDent gum campaign, “The HappyDent Palace.”
