Premier Sachin Tendulkar of the Indian cricket team has been chosen as the ‘Smile Ambassador’ for Maharashtra under the state’s ‘Swachh Mukh Abhiyan’, by the Shiv Sena-BJP government led by Eknath Shinde.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was appointed Maharashtra’s “Smile Ambassador” under the state’s “Swachh Mukh Abhiyan” by the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party government to raise awareness of oral health and hygiene throughout the state. The batting star has volunteered his association free of charge to serve as the face of the state medical education and drug department’s Swachh Mukh Abhiyan (SMA) for as long as the government wants to run the campaign.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sachin Tendulkar and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was signed. For the next five years, the former Indian cricket player will serve as the campaign’s brand ambassador.
